 Happy 12th Birthday Larkyn!

Dear Larkyn, 

Why do you keep growing up on us? Time is such a thief. 12 years old and going on 30. You are the most independent, strong willed, sassy, kind hearted, smart, beautiful young lady. You started and finished up your last year in elementary school and, of course, you got amazing grades. School has always come so easy to you. You are so friendly and have tons of good friends. You are not one to just need one friend; you have a lot that are boys and girls. You don't go through all that girl drama. You are laid back and such a tom-boy still that you can hang with the boys just as much as girls. Some days I think you would prefer to hang out with boys instead of the girls. Your daddy is still your #1. As a mom, I try not to let it make me sad as I am the same with my dad. You love to do anything your dad is doing and love all the hobbies he has as well. You took hunters education this year and are so excited for the fall to deer hunt. We went on lots of adventures this year around our state. We usually go with the Nielson's so you and Harley have a ton of fun together. Hadley is still your sweet big baby. You two are inseparable. This year you have grown so much not only in height but in maturity. You are helpful and so kind hearted. You love to come to work with me and help out at the plant. Your favorite thing to do is help customers. You are so friendly to them and do such a great job. This year you moved up to riding and racing the Husky 85. You look so good on it and ride much better. You are a little bit of dare devil and don't seem to be scared of much which scares the hell out of this Mama. You have really loved working cattle with Papa. You are seriously the biggest help when we are branding, vaccinating, or anything to do with the ranch. You will work from sun up until sun down without any complaints at all. Happy 12th Birthday our sweet girl!

4 years old?

Dear Ryker, How in the world are you 4 years old? I remember your Daddy handing me this tiny precious lovie like it was yesterday. I don't care how old or big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby, my first born that taught me so much. I never knew true, pure, deep love until I had you! This has been a BIG year for you.... you are FINALLY "poop" potty trained. Oh my Ryker I cannot believe how INCREDIBLY hard you were to potty train. Although we still have some pee accidents all in all you do great, I think you are just to on the go to take the time out from playing. You started preschool and you love it! Your best friends are Cash and Beckham (Bear). Some mornings you do not want to go and whine that you want me to go with you but you always go and come back home with the biggest smile and tell me how much fun you had. You are learning so much and it amazes me, I will listen and watch you play or watch a tv cartoon and you can usually answer all the questions correctl...

Happy MOTHER'S Day!

I LOVE Mother's Day. I love being a Mommy.... Ryker is truly the BEST thing that has ever happened to me and I am so extremely blessed that he is my baby! I woke up to Ryker saying "Happy Mom" and Chris and Ryker making me breakfast. I got a hand made card from Chris and Ryker and it melted my heart and made me cry like a baby. Chris and I talked before Mother's day and I asked him not to get me any gifts which he was disappointed in but we are in the process for buying a toy hauler and I wanted to make sure that was cut and dried before spending any money. Chris wanted to get me and promised me a seat to go on the back of my four-wheeler.... he spoils me! I love my two lovies so very much! Thank you for making my day so incredibly SPECIAL! I cherish every moment I have with the two men in my life! I've been called a lot of things in my life, but my favorite of all is Mommy! My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal.
