It's GREAT to be 8!


Dear Larkyn,

If I could stop time I would. This age for you is so dang fun. You are so talented at everything you try. I finally convinced you to try a drawing class which you LOVE. Your instructor is amazed at how naturally talented you are. You look forward to going every week and have loved messing around with water colors at home. You have also been 100% racing and you are loving it. Every race you are focused and determined to beat your last position which you usually do. Your lap times get better and better every race and you have even started jumping a bit. The new electric Husky we bought you is amazing and you really enjoy it. This past year has been INSANE with the pandemic! Covid 19 really rocked our world. School was shut down and we had to homeschool. Mama learned really quick I am not a teacher but luckily you are so smart and easy going. School comes so naturally to you and you do a lot yourself. You seem to love to learn and do a good job at what you put your mind to. You have so many friends you love to play with Itzel, Havyn, Tre, Cale next door and of course Jaxsen. You love hanging out with Ryker and his friends as well. Minecraft occupies your time when you’re on the Ipad and also watching YouTube. You come up with the funniest facts that you love to tell us all about. I learn so much from you on a daily basis. Finally, your wishes were granted and we got a dog for Christmas, Piper. You love to take care of her, Hadley and all your chickens. You are still the biggest animal lover I know. You are the light of our lives and we love you so much. The little caboose to our family. Happy 8th Birthday Miss Larkyn Lou Lou!

4 years old?

Dear Ryker, How in the world are you 4 years old? I remember your Daddy handing me this tiny precious lovie like it was yesterday. I don't care how old or big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby, my first born that taught me so much. I never knew true, pure, deep love until I had you! This has been a BIG year for you.... you are FINALLY "poop" potty trained. Oh my Ryker I cannot believe how INCREDIBLY hard you were to potty train. Although we still have some pee accidents all in all you do great, I think you are just to on the go to take the time out from playing. You started preschool and you love it! Your best friends are Cash and Beckham (Bear). Some mornings you do not want to go and whine that you want me to go with you but you always go and come back home with the biggest smile and tell me how much fun you had. Happy MOTHER'S Day!

I LOVE Mother's Day. I love being a Mommy.... Ryker is truly the BEST thing that has ever happened to me and I am so extremely blessed that he is my baby! I woke up to Ryker saying "Happy Mom" and Chris and Ryker making me breakfast. I got a hand made card from Chris and Ryker and it melted my heart and made me cry like a baby. Chris and I talked before Mother's day and I asked him not to get me any gifts which he was disappointed in but we are in the process for buying a toy hauler and I wanted to make sure that was cut and dried before spending any money. Chris wanted to get me and promised me a seat to go on the back of my four-wheeler.... he spoils me! I love my two lovies so very much! Thank you for making my day so incredibly SPECIAL! I cherish every moment I have with the two men in my life! I've been called a lot of things in my life, but my favorite of all is Mommy! My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal.
