Our poor little guy had to have tubes put in his ears because of his constant bad ear infections so we headed to Primary Children's at 5:00 a.m. for a check in at 6:00 a.m. and surgery at 7:30 a.m. (the surgery did not actally happen til about 8:20 a.m.). I cannot believe how many people were there for surgeries it was insane and made me realize just how fortunate we are to have a healthy boy. It broke my heart to see some of the other surgeries that were going to take place on these innocent little kids (heart surgery, cleft lip, plastic surgery from a dog attack, etc.)
Of course Ryker had to drag every toy out to play with.

Ryker was not happy at all when he had to have his vitals taken, verification bands put on his ankle and changed into the hospitals jammies. The nurse told us we may have to give him valium to calm him down but we explained its just because he was in this office getting looked at. As soon as we went back to the pre-surgery room with the toys he was GREAT!
He looked so cute in their little jammies!
He was still not too thrilled to have that verification band on his foot that every time he noticed it he got his pouty face and said "owie".
The anesthesiologist was AWESOME and made me feel so comfortable when she took him away. The surgery only took about twenty minutes and we were able to be with out little man again.
Ryker did throw up all over mommy from the anestassia which they said was normal (I did not mind poor little guy went through a lot).

I am so thrilled its over with and that my baby boy is back to normal. I will be even more happy when we are done with drops in his ears which we have to do 6 drops in each ear twice a day for seven days and let me tell ya Ryker HATES it!
Brycie came with Chris and I to the hospital and was such a big help. She is such a GREAT cousin and help with Ryker. He just loves her. Thanks Brycie!
Also it was my mother's birthday the day of Ryker's surgery.
I hope she had a WONDERFUL day.
