I cannot believe my baby will be a 1 1/2 on Friday. People always told me how time flies when you have kids and not to blink because they grow up so fast. Well I totally understand now! I LOVE the stage he is in right now. He is so adventurous and his little mind is always going trying to figure things out and discover new things.
Here are some things that Ryker is doing at 18 months-
- He is totally smitten over his Daddy. When Daddy comes home from work or on the weekends he is a total Daddy's boy which makes me a little sad but I guess boys will be boys.
- He loves to blow kisses but still does not like to give them. If you ask him for a kiss he usually puts his forehead down for you to kiss it. You are pretty lucky if you actually get a kiss on the lips. Although he LOVES to give his Mommy eskimo kisses.
- He knows were most all his body parts are.
- He is still the happiest smiley baby ever and we always get complements on how good and cute he is.
- He started attending a daycare at Aunt Angie's house and he loves it there. Ryker has always loved being around other kids so it's just the right place. He eats really well for her too which it GREAT.
- He still is such a picky eater and hates for us to feed him in anyway. He is a big boy and wants to do everything himself.
- We have reached the stage were he will completely throw himself on the ground and have a tantrum..... Mommy and Dadddy does not like this.
- Ryker is so dang independent with everything he is doing.
- He LOVES to be outside and gets so upset whenever it's time to come in.
- Daddy has turned him into a total dirt bike kid! When Chris races he has to go around to every person there and check out there dirt bike or four-wheeler.
- He is a social butterfly!
- Ryker loves his liquids. He drinks a lot and has never refused any kind of juice, water etc.
- He is on the move all the time... no wonder he is such a skinny little thing.
- Whenever there is music on he is dancing and it just melts my heart to see him jiggle.
- His favorite toys are his little dirt bikes and he loves to push them around and make the sounds.
- Ryker goes to bed anywhere from 8:00-8:30 and will sleep to 8:00-8:30 a.m. on the days I don't work. Thank goodness he has always been a pretty good sleeper.
- Surprisingly he is not much of an animal lover. He does not like the dogs in his face at all and if he does want them around it's on his terms.
- He really does not say too many more words from his 15 month check-up but he understands everything we ask him to do. He has always been so stubborn so I guess he will talk when he wants to. I am such a chatter box that I am surprised he is not.
- He still does the pointing thing constantly and it drives me nuts because I think he thinks if he points he shall receive even though I try my hardest to get him to say it first.
- Ryker has to have tubes put in his ears within the next month and a half.
- His favorite foods are grapes, strawberries, yogurt, grilled cheese, chips, refried beans and popcorn.
- Ryker loves to cuddle first thing in the morning when he wakes up.
- MOST OF ALL HE IS THE JOY OF OUR LIVES AND WE ARE SO BLESSED TO CALL HIM OUR SON!
I am sure I am missing so many things that interest Ryker but these are the ones that came to mind first.
