15 month check-up

Yesterday we took Ryker to his well check visit which I hate! I cannot wait until after his 18 month check-up and then he will not have to have shots again until he is 4....thank goodness. I hate to see my poor little guy in pain and I swear he knows they are going to give him shots because he starts crying as soon as the lady walks in.

Here are Ryker's current stats:
19 lb. 4 oz. (3rd%)
30 3/4" long (50th%)
18 cm head circumference (25th%)

We love or tall skinny boy so much. He brings so much joy to our lives!

Here are some things Ryker does/likes/dislikes etc. at 15 months:
  • He is OBSESSED with playing with his dirt bikes, trucks, four-wheelers or basically anything that has wheels.
  • He DID sleep through the night since about 11 months until he got this last cold (about a week and half ago) and now he getting up at 4 a.m. to be snuggled/bottle for a few minutes and then he goes back down.
  • Ryker LOVES the bath. He usually gets in with me and when he sees me in there getting the water filled up he points and gets so excited. Chris cannot get his clothes off fast enough but when he does he lets him down and he crawls as fast he can and then climbs into the bathtub by himself. But he does cry when it's time to get out.
  • Ryker loves to walk the walls, walker, holding on to someone, pushing anything he can but he does not have enough confidence to let go yet. He will take about 6 steps between people or to the couch but that is it. Hopefully he will catch on soon but I know not until HE is good and ready.
  • His favorite food is still refried beans ! He eats a stage 3 jar of food three times a day and then snacks or picks off what we are eating throughout the day.
  • He is taking to his sippy cups (the ones with straws) a little better but he still wants his bottle most of the time.
  • He says mama, dada, peace, hi, yeah
  • He waves goodbye, puts one hand up to say hi (it's too cute), gives high fives, tries to give the peace sign but it usually just looks like he is pointing, he points to everything he wants, he is not a cuddly/lovey baby at all so if you ask him for a kiss he puts his forehead down for you to kiss it.
  • He loves to ride his little 2 mile per hour four-wheeler all over the house. He scares his mommy because he is already trying to pull narley tricks on it (lol).
  • Ryker is still such a daddy's boy and loves to wrestle around with him or just be by his side at all times (mommy is usually pouting).
  • Ryker knows were his nose, eyes, mouth and belly button are.
  • He can do some of the hand motions to the itsy bitsy spider and he loves to do all the hand motions to patty cake especially rolling it.
  • He is now into watching motocross races with daddy and when they are on he is glued to the tv. Such a BOY!
  • He loves going over to cousins to play. Briggs just lights Ryker up and he laughs none stop when Briggs is there.
I am sure there is so much more but these are the things that stick out most at the moment. I cannot believe our baby is 15 months old it has gone by way to fast. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stage Ryker is so fun and playful! He truly is the HAPPIEST little boy!

4 years old?

Dear Ryker, How in the world are you 4 years old? I remember your Daddy handing me this tiny precious lovie like it was yesterday. I don't care how old or big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby, my first born that taught me so much. I never knew true, pure, deep love until I had you! This has been a BIG year for you.... you are FINALLY "poop" potty trained. Oh my Ryker I cannot believe how INCREDIBLY hard you were to potty train. Although we still have some pee accidents all in all you do great, I think you are just to on the go to take the time out from playing. You started preschool and you love it! Your best friends are Cash and Beckham (Bear). Some mornings you do not want to go and whine that you want me to go with you but you always go and come back home with the biggest smile and tell me how much fun you had. You are learning so much and it amazes me, I will listen and watch you play or watch a tv cartoon and you can usually answer all the questions correctl...

Happy MOTHER'S Day!

I LOVE Mother's Day. I love being a Mommy.... Ryker is truly the BEST thing that has ever happened to me and I am so extremely blessed that he is my baby! I woke up to Ryker saying "Happy Mom" and Chris and Ryker making me breakfast. I got a hand made card from Chris and Ryker and it melted my heart and made me cry like a baby. Chris and I talked before Mother's day and I asked him not to get me any gifts which he was disappointed in but we are in the process for buying a toy hauler and I wanted to make sure that was cut and dried before spending any money. Chris wanted to get me and promised me a seat to go on the back of my four-wheeler.... he spoils me! I love my two lovies so very much! Thank you for making my day so incredibly SPECIAL! I cherish every moment I have with the two men in my life! I've been called a lot of things in my life, but my favorite of all is Mommy! As Dora and I went the cemetery yesterday to decorate Mom's and Grandma'...

My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal. She agreed it was probable from camping and his sensitive skin. When Chris brought ...
