We went to a new pediatrician Dr. Gould for Ryker's 9 month check-up on 8/5. He was so GREAT with Ryker and took his time talking to us and answering every little question we had. I am so pleased that we switched, I could not ask for a kinder man.
Ryker's stats are-
Weight- 16 pounds 1 ounce: 3rd%
(Poor little Ryker keeps dropping in the weight percentages but it is just because he is getting so tall. He is going to be tall and skinny like his daddy. Plus the doctor is happy because he is on track to triple his birth weight by a year and that is the requirement.)
Length- 27 1/2 inches: 35th%
Head circumference- 17 1/2: 30th%
At 9 months Ryker interests are-
To roll around EVERYWHERE! That might be an understatement because I am wondering if he is ever going to crawl because he can get to where he wants and fast with rolling. He rolls to whatever room we are in to find us.
To laugh and giggle.
He loves to be roughed around by everyone. Some friends and family that have not been around us much probably think he are too ruff but he loves it.
To loves to talk (baby babbling). He is always jabbering about something. He can say dada and baba but I am still not sure if he knows what it means or if he just has the words down. I am pretty sure he says hi too.... is he ever going to say mama? (it breaks my heart that he doesn't yet but he is a daddy's boy)
To snuggle when he is tired but only when he is tired.
He is trying really hard to crawl but has not figured it out as of now so hopefully soon.
He loves to play with our cell phones, TV remote, Grandma's rings, daddy's watch, etc. He has great toys and a lot of them but he is more interested in stuff he should not be playing with....go figure.
Ryker sleeps through most of the night. He goes to bed at 8:30 p.m. and usually gets up around 4:00 to 5:00 a.m. to eat which only takes about 15 minutes to make the bottle and feed him, then he goes down til around 8:00 to 8:30 a.m when he is up for the day.
He is finally and I mean finally starting to like solid food. That has been quit the challenge with him but he is now interested and actually opening his mouth for food and grunting for more. THANK HEAVENS!
He loves to stand on his feet and RUN around with us holding him of course but we can hardly keep up because he literally goes 100 miles an hour (be scared for us once he figures out how to walk on his own because he does not take slow steps)
Ryker is such a happy baby that everyone comments us on it. He is always smiling and in a great mood. We have had people ask if he ever cries? and they also tell us if they had that happy of a baby they would have ten of them.
There is probably so much more things to name but I don't want this post to get too long.
Ryker is such a joy to have and is honestly loves more than you can imagine. We are exteremly blessed to have him as our son.
We love ya toota!
