6 month check-up/NIGHTMARE!

Yesterday we took Ryker to the pediatrician for his 6 month check-up. Wow has the time flown by. Our little man is getting so big! Here are his stats:

14 2.5 pounds (7th%)

25 1/4 length (20th%)

14 2.5 head circumference (18th%)

Dr. Jenkins said he is just a little guy but gaining correctly so there is no need to worry about the percentages. That is a relief!

At this appointment Ryker had to have one oral vaccine and 3 shots. Well three hours after the appointment Ryker spiked a fever and was just miserable. I know that is a side effect of the vaccines so I just kept Tylenol in him. Later on into the night he was just not himself and wanted to be held which is unusual because he is excellent about going to sleep in his crib. Well about three in the morning mommy and daddy could not take anymore and his temperature would not go down so we rushed him to the er. Three and half hours later they gave him some antibiotics for an ear infection and got his temperature under control and we were sent home. Thank goodness he is doing better and sleeping it off. As for mommy and daddy we are need of a BIG nap!

Dear Ryker, How in the world are you 4 years old? I remember your Daddy handing me this tiny precious lovie like it was yesterday. I don't care how old or big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby, my first born that taught me so much. I never knew true, pure, deep love until I had you! Happy MOTHER'S Day!

I LOVE Mother's Day. I love being a Mommy.... Ryker is truly the BEST thing that has ever happened to me and I am so extremely blessed that he is my baby! I woke up to Ryker saying "Happy Mom" and Chris and Ryker making me breakfast. I got a hand made card from Chris and Ryker and it melted my heart and made me cry like a baby. Chris and I talked before Mother's day and I asked him not to get me any gifts which he was disappointed in but we are in the process for buying a toy hauler and I wanted to make sure that was cut and dried before spending any money. Chris wanted to get me and promised me a seat to go on the back of my four-wheeler.... he spoils me! I love my two lovies so very much! Thank you for making my day so incredibly SPECIAL! I cherish every moment I have with the two men in my life! I've been called a lot of things in my life, but my favorite of all is Mommy! As Dora and I went the cemetery yesterday to decorate Mom's and Grandma'...

My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal.
