Mommy Makeover

Time to get all this loose skin off!

Recovery-

Day of surgery

  • Came out surgery at pain level of 8 they quickly gave me meds and it went right down.
  • I had to remind myself to hunch over.
  • My boobs felt heavy.
  • The arm drains in the arm pits were the things that bugged me most.
  • The first time I had to pee at home I felt like I was going to pass out but it didn’t happen again after that. I was able to wipe myself.
  • The thing that was the worse of the day was my face and head was constantly itching. Because of the arm lift I used a back scratcher and it my life saver.

Post op day 1

  • Felt really good but drains in the arm pits still annoying.
  • Took a sponge bath.
  • Took a good nap.
  • Wanted pain meds when it was time.
  • Breasts felt so heavy and not supported enough.
  • Had visitors which was so nice and took my mind off things.
  • Went to bed earlier and was pretty tired.

Post op day 2

  • slept great the night before besides having to be woke for medicine.
  • Was pretty tired when I woke for the day so I went back to sleep for a little nap.
  • Moved to the couch to visit with my dad which was a nice and new scenery.
  • Undressed completely and seen my results. Not in love because my boobs look terrifying like they are botched. Google says it’s normal.
  • It was along process to take everything off, sponge bath and put everything back on.
  • Accidentally fell thinking the chair was behind me. It really scared me but I think everything is okay.
  • Half way through the day found out the toilet seat riser sucked and used the other bathroom and was able to do everything on my own. Before I would wipe first but had to have my hubby re wipe to get back further.
  • Made an outing to my SIL for Father’s Day dinner. It was nice but went home fairly soon.
  • My binder seemed to have moved up so I wanted to fix it. When we took it off I felt faint and dizzy and about passed out. That sucked

Post op day 3-

  • Sleeping isn’t really great in the recliner and having to get up for meds and the bathroom.
  • Went to the surgeon to have arm drains taken out. He said everything looked great. Took me out of everything on my arms and I feel weird about that.
  • Felt really good being out and about. Not even too tired when we got home. We were gone from 10:30 to 3:30
  • Chris is exhausted.

Post op day 4-

  • Sleep a little better on the living room recliner during the night.
  • Did the entire night shift by myself.
  • Woke up a little tired but was excited for a real shower.
  • Shower took a long time but I did my hair and everything.
  • Chilled most of the day.
  • Getting worried I haven’t pooped since Thursday when I had horrible diarrhea. Trying all sorts of things.
  • Rode with Chris to Home Depot to get out.
  • Going to try to cut the 6 pm and so on Percocet in half due to constipation.

Post op day 5-

  • Skipped a night of Tylenol so got a 6 hour stretch
  • Milly’s chair is uncomfy so I moved to the living room
  • Still cutting the Percocet in 1/2 stopped after the 6 am dose constipation is bad.
  • Trying a suppository as nothing else is working and so I haven’t went since the day before surgery.
  • Pain is pretty good. I do get this burning sensation under the left breast. My boobs hurt the worse and I wish they would drop.
  • Arms a little more tight today and the fluid is still in the elbow. Compression sleeves should be here today.
  • Sick of walking hunched over.
  • Pooping small amounts with all the miralax, prune juice, apple juice, prunes and suppository but I have had to manually help.
  • Rested more today besides being in the bathroom a lot.

Post op day 6-

  • Sleep pretty good on the living room recliner
  • Drains seem to be really going down maybe I can get them out tomorrow.
  • I have this weird muscle twist pain on the right side. It’s not all the time.
  • Started the arm compressions to get rid of the fluid build up.
  • Started to take ibuprofen sometimes as well maybe it will help with swelling.
  • Pooped on my own without a struggle.
  • Recovery is pretty boring.
  • Went for a drive to take Sis to the dermatologist.
  • I get so emotional every night and think I am botched. My arms are the thing that upsets me most.

Post op day 7-

  • Yeah for one week!
  • Didn’t sleep well I had to tinkle to many times.
  • 2 doses of miralax is too much for this girl. I went a lot but no struggle.
  • I did take a nap in the early morning which was a first.
  • Tired and lazy today but still bored.
  • Went to my MIL for a bit to get out of the house.

Post op day 8-

  • Sleep awful again the night before and had a meltdown. Got in bed and sleep for a few more hours.
  • I walked outside like I do every morning and talked with the neighbor for a good bit.
  • Washed my hair and had a nice long shower which made me feel like a new woman.
  • Took a little 30 to 45 minute nap.
  • Went for a drive to get out of the house.
  • Night time is hard I turn into such a beast. I feel asleep for a nap at 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • My drain site or basically that right hip hurts a lot. I don’t know if it’s swelling or what.
  • I still have this strange ball, twist feeling in my abdomen. I can’t wait to talk to the doctor about that.
  • In 24 hours my drain was at 34cc. Hoping to get them out in two days when they are back in the office.

Post op day 9-

  • Slept the best I have so far. It felt so good.
  • Took a little hour nap.
  • Drain site feels better although red but that dang hip area is annoyed from swelling for something.
  • My right arm still hurts pretty bad when you touch it where you would put an iv or maybe a little lower. Not around the incision.
  • Went to Sunday dinner, it’s nice to get out and be around everyone.
  • Still taking morning and evening walks.

Post op day 10-

  • rested a lot.
  • Pain back in the right hip area. I don’t know if it’s from swelling or drain site.
  • Shaved my legs and half assed my arm pits. Was able to twinkle shave my face.
  • Night time seems to bring me anxiety thinking I am botched. I am so scared this all wasn’t done right.

Post op day 11-

  • Woke up with the same anxiety so I decided to go on a work delivery with Hubby.
  • I got a few things done at work in pajamas and all.
  • Today was a very productive day.
  • I have more energy today than I have since I stopped the narcotics

Post op day 12-

  • Woke uo showered and went to get lashes done.
  • Ran some errands
  • Came home and did some paperwork for Dad
  • Went to the plastic surgeon and got my last drain out. That was so nice
  • Went to my MIL to help her with a project.
  • Busy day
  • I have been more emotional at night this whole recovery and I wanted to sleep in bed. It was late and Chris and I couldn’t get me as comfy as the recliner is so I went back out to the living room upset.
  • I had a total meltdown anxiety attack and only sleep for 1 1/2 hours all night. It was awful

Post op day 13-

  • Haven’t slept and I am exhausted. I decided to take my lexapro to get me through this surgery. Also asked the doctor for ambien because I can’t have another night like that.
  • Got a lymphatic massage which was nice. Loved the lady but I don’t know how much it did.
  • Laid around the rest of the day and tried to nap which I may have for an hour on and off
  • Taking my last ambien to sleep tonight.

4 years old?

Dear Ryker, How in the world are you 4 years old? I remember your Daddy handing me this tiny precious lovie like it was yesterday. I don't care how old or big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby, my first born that taught me so much. I never knew true, pure, deep love until I had you! This has been a BIG year for you.... you are FINALLY "poop" potty trained. Oh my Ryker I cannot believe how INCREDIBLY hard you were to potty train. Although we still have some pee accidents all in all you do great, I think you are just to on the go to take the time out from playing. You started preschool and you love it! Your best friends are Cash and Beckham (Bear). Some mornings you do not want to go and whine that you want me to go with you but you always go and come back home with the biggest smile and tell me how much fun you had. You are learning so much and it amazes me, I will listen and watch you play or watch a tv cartoon and you can usually answer all the questions correctl...

My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal. She agreed it was probable from camping and his sensitive skin. When Chris brought ...
