Really stitches already?

Our poor little toota bug has had a ruff day today (July 29). He fell face first on the corner of my sister's big bird cage. That is a phone call I never want to receive again that your baby might need stitches. It really scares you right to death! Lucky my fantastic niece Brycie was there with him when it happened and jumped right into mother mode with no hesitation and took care of him. She is like his other mother and I am so grateful she was there with him. When I made it to the house and walked in the door I stayed calm but was panicking inside. I do not do well in any bad situation plus I have a queasy tummy. Poor Ryker has a wuss for a mommy! On our way to the ER Waiting with the numbing solution on his forehead to get stitches. The nurse was so GREAT to Ryker Holding him down was the worst part. Anyone who knows Ryker knows he DOES NOT like to be held down. It took my sister and this nurse to hold him down and they both said they were physically exhausted after it ...

Ryker has to do everything that Daddy does....

Grandma McCabe's funeral

We had a really nice service for Grandma on Wednesday July 21st. There was a lot of family, friends and nurse aids that attended. All five of Grandma's children Ryker & Daddy Cutter getting his flower pinned on while Ryker is trying to steal his toy. Can you see my little man in the background? He really wanted to be apart of whatever Pa Pa and Daddy was doing. Grandpa Roberts & Chris Grandma McCabe was such a kind loving woman. She was so good to all of her family and taught us so much. She had a stroke 12 years ago that paralyzed the right side of her body. After the stroke my mom, aunts and uncle stepped in and took such good care of her. She was a fighter even in her last days. I am so blessed to have known her! I know Grandma is not feeling "rotten" (as she would tell us) anymore and is in a better place!

Ryker's ear tube surgery 7/19/10

Our poor little guy had to have tubes put in his ears because of his constant bad ear infections so we headed to Primary Children's at 5:00 a.m. for a check in at 6:00 a.m. and surgery at 7:30 a.m. (the surgery did not actally happen til about 8:20 a.m.). I cannot believe how many people were there for surgeries it was insane and made me realize just how fortunate we are to have a healthy boy. It broke my heart to see some of the other surgeries that were going to take place on these innocent little kids (heart surgery, cleft lip, plastic surgery from a dog attack, etc.) Of course Ryker had to drag every toy out to play with. Ryker was not happy at all when he had to have his vitals taken, verification bands put on his ankle and changed into the hospitals jammies. The nurse told us we may have to give him valium to calm him down but we explained its just because he was in this office getting looked at. As soon as we went back to the pre -surgery room with the toys he was ...

Summercross Race 7/17 & 7/18

We had a weekend of all sorts of emotions! Our weekend started off leaving Friday for the MX 215 track in North Salt Lake for another summer cross race. We made it Lakepoint were we had a tire blow off the tread so we had to change that (It should have been a sign to go back home). Next we got to the races and figured out our generator would not work and if anyone knows me that was not going to work. I am always way too HOT! So Vern had to bring up my sister's generator for us to use (thanks again for saving me!). In the mean time of having the windows all open to cool off until the generator arrived we let a million little baby grasshoppers in. I am not scared of bugs but when there are that many it was freaking me out! Saturday came and Ryker had a blast playing in the dirt with his buddies. Chris took 1st place in the first moto and 2 nd place in the second moto giving him 2 nd place for the day! Around 10:30 p.m. that night I got a call from my Dad telling me my Grand...

New toothbrush....

We got Ryker an electric toothbrush thinking that he would enjoy getting his teeth brushed better. Usually its quite the ordeal we have to go through but yesterday he would not stop brushing his teeth. What a good boy!

SuMmEr TiMe FuN!

We LOVE this boy! Playing in the water Ryker just wants in the barrel to play better OOHHHH! This is the look we get when he knows he not suppose to do something but is doing it anyways! He loves his Aunt Shay Shay Do you think his diaper is a little full? Great Grandpa Phillips pushing Ryker around Wore out!

Arenacross 7/10 (big track)

We spent another Saturday at the race track watching Daddy race. This was one of Chris' best races. I was so neck in neck with Kyle and in the last race Chris was able to get the lead on him in the last turn and win 1st place. We were so thrilled because Kyle is such a great rider and it shows how far Chris has came. Way to go Daddy! We love you to pieces! Hayden is so good with Ryker and loves to play with him. They are GREAT friends! The only thing that we need to work on is Hayden calls Ryker "HECTOR" ( lol ). He is Mexican so we think he just wants Ryker to be as well so he needs a Spanish name. It is so funny because Ryker answers to it. Hopefully we do not have to legally change Ryker's name in the future! It was such a hot day and Ryker kept wanting to get cooled off with some ice. Later on in the evening we took Ryker to a birthday party at the Tooele enclosed pool. It was so much fun to play with him in the water. He is a little fish and content i...
