PaPa had surgery

One thing I cannot handle is to see anyone I love in pain especially my Daddy. He went in for surgery Monday (1/23) to have a tear in his rotator cuff fixed. It was the worse tear the doctor had ever seen and was surprised he made it so long because he was in a tremendous amount of pain. He must be tuff and have a high tolerance to pain! It was so hard for him to stay home for 2.5 days (that includes the day of surgery). The rest of the week I basically had to babysit him and pick him up for work. I actually took him on a " play date " on morning for his coffee at Jay's to chit chat with his buddies.... hee hee ! Luckily he is feeling no pain now but he has a bit of a journey ahead of him with physical therapy. Ryker LOVES him some chocolate pudding! Oh we LOVE this little man!

Happenings

Grandma and Grandpa Phillips have been in town to celebrate Aleta's birthday and for Erwin's Mom's funeral so we had lots of fun playing and visiting with them. Great Grandma was all for playing play-do with Ryker because for some reason ever since I was a little kid the smell of it makes me want to throw up! Ryker loves his Aunt Shay Shay and wants to look just like her! This is a serious operation playing with play-do!

Prayers....

12 weeks 1 day We had another scare with our precious tinniest lovie last Friday (13 th .... Ugh yeah Friday the 13 th ). I woke up normally went to the bathroom and was spotting bright red blood. As I panicked I called my doctor and she sent me in for an emergency ultrasound. Dora and Chris both took me in. We were beyond relieved to see the baby moving around like crazy and a strong heartbeat. The technician was fantastic and was basically crying with me because I was so happy. Originally we thought I was miscarrying or that my fibroid was causing the bleeding but my fibroid has actually shrunk or was not measured right in the first ultrasound (it's 2 1/2 x 3 cm and is on the top of uterus which is a great place for it to be). The technician seemed confident it was not the cause of the bleeding or that it will not bother my pregnancy. She did find a very small detachment of my placenta from the uterus wall. She said it could have just happened or maybe has not completely atta...

12 week appointment

We had our 12 week baby check-up on Monday (the 9 th ) and I was so excited to take Ryker and let him hear the heartbeat. Well it didn't go quite as expected Ryker could have cared less about the heartbeat he was terrified I was laying on the bed with no panties on (yes I was covered up but he seen me take my clothes off)! Hee Hee ! After we heard that strong heartbeat of 159 we took Ryker to play at McDonald's and then home to do some coloring. I am enjoying all this one on one time with our little man because before we know it there will be another kiddo to add to the chaos.

New play room= FUN!

Ryker was "TOO SPOILED" by Santa, family and friends that we had to finally set up the bonus room as a play room to fit all his fun toys in. He loves to play up there but keeps telling us he wants "his baby brofer " to play up there with him. I don't know what we are going to do if the baby is a girl because he insists its a BOY! I make it a point not to go up there and see how he has destroyed the organized room I put together.

We rang in the New Year with our annual party at Grandma Aleta's. We ate way too much food, had a lot of laughs and played games. This tired Mommy was exhausted by 9:30 p.m. but we were all troopers and made it until midnight. Ryker was thrilled over the noise makers that he and Briggs got to let off outside.
