Anniversary fun...

To celebrate our anniversary we spent the day as a family and took Ryker to the Tracy Aviary. He had so much fun looking at all the birds but if they could make a exhibit/zoo of just little kids I think Ryker would enjoy that more. Every time any kids came in close by us Ryker started to kick his feet and laugh. He is too funny! Ryker always looks out our back sliding glass door and is amazed by anything that flies so I figured he would like the aviary. After exploring there we went to lunch and then back home to hang out. We had a GREAT day!

Yesterday.....

Yesterday was the WORSE and BEST day of my entire life. I took little Ryker to the pediatrician to get his flu shot and while I was there I was going to have them look at a little pea sized lump in his neck. To give you some past history at around 6 months we noticed Ryker had around a half a marble sized lump that stuck out of his head behind his right ear. The pediatrician told us that is was just a lymph node that we could feel/see and because he is a thinner baby you can see and feel everything. Basically it was nothing to worry about. So a couple of months ago Ryker developed another lump on the left side of his neck we just assumed it was another lymph node. I just figured next time we took him to the pediatrician I would have it looked at. As I mentioned above he needed a flu shot so I had the lump looked at. The doctor checked his whole body out and then explained to me she just thought it was a swollen lymph node but we need to cross our T's and dot our I 's s...

What a GREAT 100th post!

Six years ago today..... I married the man of my dreams, in the most beautiful island (Maui), with such touching precious vows. We spent the next five years enjoying each other and having tons of fun. We camped, hunted, four-wheeled, explored, traveled, etc. Then we gave each other the most blessed gift of all... our sweet baby boy The past year has been one of the best years of our marriage spending time as a family and enjoying every minute of Ryker . Here is to a lifetime more of beautiful memories. I love you more than I could ever explain Poopsie ! Thanks for being such a GREAT husband, my best friend and the most absolute BEST daddy in the world! Happy 6 th Anniversary!

Last arenacross for the year

Last Friday night Chris raced the last arenacross for the year and came in 3rd place. We were all really proud of him. It's a little bitter sweet that arenacross is over for the year but it will be nice to do something else for a change too. We wont have much time until wintercross starts if we could just figure out were they are holding it this year.... cross your fingers it's not Heber again it's TOO COLD up there for me! Other than the races we did not do much this weekend besides play, play, and play some more with Ryker . He is getting so much faster at crawling every day. He does this little army crawl thing when he is lazy, it's too funny to watch. He is also pulling himself up to everything but it's still only to his knees. We just love our little boy!

Drum roll please.........

Well it's official little Ryker is now a crawler! He has been taking a step here and there for the past couple of weeks and rocking back and forth a lot but yesterday evening (9/16/09) it just clicked and he took off all over. He is still a little slow but I am sure it won't take long for him to gain his speed. It's so funny because as we are trying to coax him to crawl and if we go to far away from him he will just give up and roll. You would have to see this kids rolling ability he is like lighting when he is rolling that I am surprised he is not DiZzY most of the time. Ryker also has been taking a liking to pulling himself up on things. Although he has not pulled himself up to a standing position just on his knees, I am sure that wont take long either. I guess the "REAL WORK" begins now and maybe with all this running around mommy can lose weight in the process too ( lol )! Way to go Toota Bug! Mommy & Daddy could not be prouder! He is obviously prou...

Race for the Cure

We had another fun filled weekend of racing. Chris and all the boys raced Friday night at the complex which just a regular arenacross race then Saturday was a bigger race "Race for the Cure". The "Race for the Cure" race was put on to benefit a little fellow racer that w ho has juvenile diabetes. There was a good turn out for the event and I hope they raised a lot of money to support doctors efforts in finding a cure for the disease. It's great to b e able to support a cause and have fun! Chris took 3rd place overall on Saturday! He did a GREAT job as well as all the boys competing . I love going to the races with all our family and friends everyone is so supportive and we always have a great time. Don't ya love that messy face. Grandma loves to feed her boy black licorice. He LOVES to be on the bikes!

My poor baby boy

Ryker had a few bumps on his back that I noticed on Sunday. I figured it was his sensitive skin from us out camping and from me not putting an lotion on him. I hate to put lotion on him when we are camping because I feel like all the dust sticks to him and makes him even more dirty. Anyways on Monday he was so whiny and running a fever so we packed up and came home. Ryker struggled with the fever all night M onday and even actually slept with Chris and I which has never happened. I figured the fever was from two more of his teeth coming through. Anyway Tuesday when he woke up Ryker was normal again happy as can be so we went about our day. Well Wednesday I needed to go to work so I packed Ryker up to take him to Grandma Irene and I was telling her about these bumps on his legs that you could feel but barley see and she said her other granddaughter gets bumps all the time and it's no big deal. She agreed it was probable from camping and his sensitive skin. When Chris brought ...

Bryce trying to bury Ryker in the sand Those rides on the four-wheeler sure do make my boy tired Shay and I decided we would do a little photo shoot with Ryker He is always trying to play/figure out everything around him I just love this little man Bryson loves to play with little Ryker We went to Knolls over the weekend to camp and do some riding. We had a lot of friends and family to play with. It was such a relaxing enjoyable weekend. Ryker is getting so much fun the older he get. The only problem is he knows exactly what he wants to do which is ride anything that moves and he lets you know he is unhappy when you get off.
