Grandma

(Grandma's 81st Birthday party at Joe's Crab Shack 12/2007) My sweet dear Grandma Goforth passed away yesterday, August 23rd. I feel like a piece of me died with her she was the woman that molded me, taught me, cared for me and inspired me. I am filled with regret that she was not able to meet my little man Ryker and that he will never be able to make the memories with her that I have. Grandma played a HUGE part in raising me through me childhood years my father was hard at work building a successful business and my mother was driven to accomplish her goals of becoming one the best RN's I know, leaving me with sharing so much time with my Grandma. I hardly have any childhood memories without my grandma present and I am so thankful for that. Growing up my grandparents either lived right next door to us and then when my parents divorced they lived with us so as you can see she was my other mother. Grandma played a big part in raising all her grandchildren but especially m...

Daddy and son day!

My niece wanted me to go school shopping with her on Saturday so we planned a girls day out. Chris wanted to do something fun with Ryker so they went up to the Powder Mountain Races in Ogden canyon. Poor Ryker had to get up at six in the morning but he was a trooper. He adores his daddy just about as much as his daddy adores him. I LOVE that Ryker is getting big enough that Chris always wants to hang out with him and have boy time.... although mommy feels left out sometimes! I was so proud of Chris that he remembered his wife is CrAzY about documenting memories, that he had his friend take a picture of them. I guess Ryker was obsessed with this monster truck.... GO FIGURE! I LOVE my boys more than anyone can imagine. I am so lucky and blessed to have them in my life. (Please do not judge that my son has a harnest/leash on! This place is CRAZY and my friends little boy got lost for like a half an hour last year so we were not chancing it!)

Arenacross 8/19

Chris took 3rd place overall in the races and thank goodness he got a trophy because his boy LOVES to have a trophy to play with. Ryker was being himself and getting into mischief as usual but at least he keeps us laughing with all the stuff he comes up with. Can you tell he wants to be just like his daddy? TOO CUTE!

The little things....

Yesterday morning after Aleta and I got done on the treadmills I went back upstairs and heard Ryker whining, usually he stops after a minute but this time he didn't so I went in and grabbed him. I could tell he was still tired and since I did not have to work I put him in bed with me to snuggle. About an hour later my sis called so I was talking to her while Ryker was still sleeping. In the middle of our conversation Ryker woke up and sat up then looked at me all serious and said "DONE"! I said "Oh yeah your DONE sleeping , huh?" and he just repeated "DONE" again. Oh I am so in love with that boy!

A camping we will go....

We went on another fun filled weekend of camping. It is so relaxing to go camping.... maybe I take that back it is a lot of work with a toddler. Ryker fell off a little 4 foot ditch and it scared me to death. Yes we do watch our son it was actually our good friend Brandon's fault (hee hee). He was watching (not really) Ryker while Chris and I were eating our dinner and next thing I know he was at the bottom of the ditch. Ryker is just fine thank goodness just a bruise on his arm. Of course Ryker has to ride his " neen neen " Helping Daddy with the wood. He is such a big helper! Ryker just loves Jordan! He is so patient and kind to him it melts me heart to see Jordan kiss Ryker and give him hugs. We are so grateful to have such GREAT friends that love our boy just about as much as we do. Ryker & Kaitlyn Always wanting to go on a ride. This is what a FUN weekend looks like.... a tired dirty boy! Believe me this is somewhat clean to what he usually looke...

Future owner of Tooele Valley Meat

Little Ryker was supervising Grandpa and making sure he done the job right. Most kids would be scared of dead pig but not my boy!

Derby & Tooele County Fair 8/7/10

Ryker LOVES going to the derby his eyes are as big as saucers as he watches all the crashes. Uncle Travis waving to the family He is really concentrating Look Daddy Unlce Cody in the figure 8 race Eating nachos with Grandma... of course she would be the one to get him dirty! When the Derby got over we walked over to the fair to let Ryker ride some rides. This was his first time riding any kind of theme park ride and he squealed the whole time. I think he really enjoyed himself. I think Grandma was just as excited to ride the rides! Lots of fun Driving like a PRO! I need some room too Grandma!

RMR Race 8/6/10

Yet another race.... yes Chris races a lot now but it's so much fun and a GREAT family activity. We have made so many friends racing that the kids all have fun playing together and all us women love to chit chat! This was out first time at this track and it was pretty fun although it ran way to late. We did not get out of there until 1:00 a.m. There was a lot of riders and some good competition. Chris placed 5 th in the first moto and 6 th in the second moto . He is such a CHEESER ! Go Daddy Go Of course Ryker has to check everything out!

My sister's beautiful family

HONESTLY....

This boy is going to be the death of me! I am going to either wind up in jail because he looks like he has been abused or the nut house because I am an emotional mess that he keeps getting owies . I know he is a BOY but please mommy cannot take anymore injuries! The doctor told me that he needs to be careful for the next 2 weeks because his incision could pop back open so thankfully we were a couple inches away from that. Pray for us the next couple of weeks. I am going to invest in a helmet and face shield for my son to wear 24-7! Hee Hee !

Stitches out!

After 4 days out having stitches we went and got them removed. Yes it was a fight with Ryker because he hates to held down but it was quick. Saying "cheese" for the camera Now he is home taking a nap. The incision is still red but we bought some mederma to fade the scar. Our little boy is just rough and tuff !

Brycie's birthday fun

Brycie wanted to celebrate her birthday up in Park City doing the Alpine slide and coaster and some shopping. It was our first time do do the slides and everyone had such a GREAT time. Ryker was not old enough to do either ride but we fibbed a little and said he was 2 so he could go on the slide with Daddy and he LOVED it. Everyone said the coaster was much more fun but Ryker and I had to sit out because you had to be 3 to ride that one. All in all it was a great day spent with the family. Waiting in line for the slide Taking the ski lift up which Chris said Ryker really enjoyed and was so well behaved Dora all smiles coming down from the slide Briggs in front with Ryker and Daddy on his tail Look at my Ryker's smile! It melts Mommy's heart! I LOVE MY BOYS! Brycie on the left racing her Dad who is coming in for a high five from Briggs. I have to say Dad won Brycie ! Ryker was PISSED that everyone left him to go on the coaster. Can you say terrible 2's at 20 mont...
