I wonder if he is happy?

Working baby...

Last Friday I needed to go to work to get some things done and I did not have a babysitter so I decided that Ryker could come to work with me. I cannot believe how well he did! He just kept checking things out and playing with his toys. Although I don't think much of us got anything done because we were all too busy playing with him. His grandpa loves to tease him and Ryker just adores him too. Now if I just convince Grandpa that Ryker deserves being paid too we would be set! Just chillin at work! Great Grandpa Roberts was keeping Ryker entertained bouncing him most of the day.

Ryker at Primary Children's

We took Ryker to the pediatrician last Thursday because he seems to keep tilting his head to the right side. After me searching the internet about his problem, I discovered he could have infant torticollis which is were one side of their neck muscle is too tight than the other so they will tilt their head because it is comfortable . The pediatrician agreed with us and wants us to take him to a physical therapist to teach us some exercises to stretch the tight muscle. He sent us to Primary Children's for an xray of his neck for a precaution plus the physical therapist will want it to make sure their is no damage which their is not. We will meet with the physical therapist this friday. That is the first time I have been to Primary's and it is decorated so cute! The nurses were so great with our little guy.

I will take a nap while I wait for you....

Yesterday I was a cleaning fool trying to get my cupboards and pantry organized and Ryker was being great just playing on his play mat . He is so funny because you can here him laughing away at his toys. Plus every time I would peek in to check on him he has scooted another direction/position. After a little while Ryker started to get fussy and whine a bit so I was telling him to hold on a minute and I will come play with you. Next thing I know it goes completely silent and this is what I walked into the living room to see.... Poor little stink got tired of waiting! Notice he is not letting go of his toy no matter how tried he is! I am just so in love with this little boy. I love each day I wake up to his smiling face and coos. He has made my life complete!

Is he ever going to get it?

Poor little Ryker just cannot grasp eating with a spoon. This is only the 5 th day of eating from a spoon but I feel bad for him. He will open his mouth and I put the applesauce in there and he acts like it tastes good but he just lets it sit on his tongue . We first started out with cereal and he just did not seem to think that was appealing so I just put that in his bottle every night. When we put the food in his mouth the l ittle man looks at us like "What I am suppose to do with this?", then he gets upset. Will he ever catch on? I am just going to keep trying every night and hopefully one day it will click but if you have any suggestions please pass them on.

Poor baby Ryker is sick!

We went camping again over the weekend. Yes I know we are CrAzY because it's still cold but we have cabin fever and with the new camp trailer Ryker stays snug as a bug. On Saturday night Ryker started coughing a bit and continued it thru the night so Grandma Aleta was leaving early Sunday morning for church and I decided that Ryker and I would leave with her. As Sunday continued and Chris came home Ryker's cough seemed like a barking seal so we took him to the nighttime pediatrician . After a couple hours and a steroid shot he was diagnosed with "croup". Here it is now Thursday and the poor little guys cough still is present so we took him to his regular pediatrician and he advised us it's just a bad cold/flu so we need to keep doing what we are doing and it should start to ease up by this weekend. My baby is in good spirits but dang I hate to see/hear him sick. Get better soon my little "tooter wooter "!

OOPS Daddy look what I did....

NOTE: If you are offended or grossed out by bodily functions please do not read any further!!! Poor Ryker is going to hate me when he gets older and realizes I posted just about everything that went on in his life but owell it's too FUNNY not to post! Since Ryker has got too crazy to bath in the baby tub we have just been putting him in the tub with one of us at night. So the other night he got in with daddy and I ran to get his bottle ready. I came back into the bathroom and was busy getting everything ready for Ryker to get out and this is how the rest went.... Chris- Can you hurry up? Me- WHY? (being completely annoyed that he would even ask me that) Chris- Because Ryker just POOPED in the tub! Me- (trying to pull myself off the ground from laughing so hard) Wait, Wait I need the camera. Chris- You have to be kidding me. Me- No I am not! Do you think you could move the poopie so I can get a picture of it with him? (still laughing and not thinking my hubby would really do ...

Ryker's four month check-up

We went to the Pediatrician yesterday for Ryker's four month check up. Here are the results- 12.40 lb.- 9 th % (still a little guy but gaining GREAT the doc said!) 24 1/4 inches in length- 40 th % and this mommy cannot remember his head circumference off the top of my head but I have it written down so I will post that later. Ryker did pretty good this time with the shots. He got two shots and had to drink one of the vaccinations. I think he hates drinking the stuff more than the shots. Dr. Jenkins said by his next visit (in 2 months) he should be eating cereal, fruits and vegetables. We have started the cereal but he does not know quite what to think about being spoon fed so we were putting it in his bottle but the doctor said that is a no no because he needs to learn how to be spoon fed. Oops our bad so we are just being patient and I am sure he will catch on. He seems to like the cereal so that is a plus! Pictures to come of his first spoon feeding later....

Ryker's first camping trip!

This last weekend we took our first camping trip of the season in our new trailer. It was a little cold but the trailer kept us nice and cozy. I was so worried that Ryker was not going to sleep well because that was his first time sleeping away from home and his bassinet but he did GREAT! Mommy was so proud. Plus the little man was able to get his first ride on mommy's four-wheeler! He did so well and was so excited to be outside cruising around! Chris Go Daddy! Chris Future motocross rider! He is so CUTE! Mommy & Ryker going for a spin Shay Toni & Dax Went had to do a little wheelin' with the trailer to get to the good spot. Ryker was happy hanging out in the trailer He slept so well- Note he did sleep in his bassinet next to us but this was him dozing off. Pike Krista, Garn & Dax Bryson Jordy David Josh Matthew Vern
