My baby is going to read!!!

Thanks to Grandma Patty Ryker got the whole set of "Your Baby Can Read"! We are super excited to see if the program really works. I think it will amazing if he is able to read before he starts school so we will see how it goes. We have already started the DVD's for him and hopefully by the time he starts to talk maybe he will have more of a vocabulary . We are going to have a little genius in our home (mommy already thinks he is tho!)... Thanks again Grandma Patty. xoxo

My happy little man

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day! Our little cupid

I'm a big boy now!

Ryker sure thinks he is quite the big boy lately. Here are some pictures explaining why! He likes to kiss on his dinosaur. Watch out ladies he is going to be heart breaker ! He loves to sit in his bumbo . He loves the exersaucer . What a stud!! He has now figured out how to suck his thumb instead of his fist. Although he doesn't do it much I try to put the binky in his mouth so he wont suck his thumb but he takes the binky out and holds it while he sucks his thumb. And last but not least he is now bathing in the real tub because he is way to CrAzY kicking his legs and arms around in the baby bath that he gets mommy and daddy soaked!

I feel like a bad mommy today

Lately little Ryker has been fighting to take a long nap and if he doesn't take a good nap throughout the day he is a total bear at night. Ryker usually takes 1- 2 to 3 hour nap and a few 1/2 an hour naps throughout the day. Well since we have been having a little trouble during nap time I decided that he sleeps great in the car seat so I would just put him in there to see how that goes. Not to my surprise as soon as I put him in the car seat he is out for a long nap. Does this make me a bad mommy? I really feel bad that I have resorted to this but hey it works! He does look peaceful!

Camping anyone????

The Allen family has a new toy! On Saturday we drove to St. Anthony, ID. and picked up a camper. It's a 30 foot Terry with a slide out so Ryker has enough room for all his toys. It will sleep all of us- Grandma Aleta, Aunt Shay, Chris, me and Ryker comfortably. It has a queen size bed in the front with a little bedroom and in the back it has two bunks so we don't even have to make any beds down unless we have more people with us. It needs a good scrubbing but that is going to be my goal this weekend if I can kick this nasty bug I have! It took a lot of looking, arguing, etc. to find a trailer we were all happy with but I think we found one! Now we just need the weather to warm up so we can go camping although it does a heater .... Hummmm !

Ryker & the Superbowl

Last night we went over to Grandma Aleta's house to watch the superbowl . So I packed up all of Ryker's goodies to keep him entertained for several hours. Of course I would be playing with him because I really could care less to watch the superbowl! Here are a few pictures of him. Little did we know all ryker wanted to do was watch the game too (oh and of course suck his fist!). He is so fascinated by the TV with all the colors and commotion. I have been telling Chris we are going to have a little couch potato when he grows up because he already loves the TV. Just put the little man on his belly, in front of the game with his hands in reach and he is content!
